The W5 Series Desoldering Braid is a Bare Copper Braid Unfluxed. You need to deep the braid in any type of flux before it is used. Solder Fluxes consist of mild organic acid of strong inorganic acid which, when heated, serves to remove and exclude surface oxidizers from the base metal. We offered this unfluxed braid for customers who want to use a high active acid flux.

Hex-Wik Desoldering Braid quickly, efficiently and safely removes solder from a wide range of PW boards and terminals. The joint is left perfectly clean and ready to re-solder.

Hex-Wik is supplied in six practically-sized widths from .032 inches to .150 inches and in package lengths from 5 ft. to 500 ft.
Custom widths and lengths are available.
Very fine, 42 gauge braid is used in all untinned styles for quickest reflow times, fastest heat transfer, and better capillary action.
